The Blitz Cup will be held each year to attract the local players to a blitz battle of the wits and at the end of the tournament; the Singapore Blitz King will be crowned for each year. This tournament features a short amount of time with many rounds to enable players to play more opponents. Along the way, players get to test their instincts and sharpen their time management skills of their game.

This is the most exciting and thrilling tournament of the year where novice players stand the chance to knock out local world-class players through time attacks and swift plays.

At the end of the tournament, 3 medals will be given out to the Top 3 Blitz players that has achieved the highest points/aggregate in the tournament.

System: 10 rounds Swiss pairing per tournament.
