All happened during dinner time. While Ching Wuen and his beloved were waiting for their dessert, Makoto suddenly blurted out f5 to me. I thought for awhile and decided to take up the challenge and replied d6!
I guessed I was quite ahead by +6 to +10 from this position which turned out that I was +8! Yeah! 20 blind moves into the game! I decided to call a halt to the blind match as Ching Wuen and Nan Hui finished their desserts and could be getting impatiently to hear us talking nonsensical moves in the air. It was a remarkable breakthrough for me. 20 moves! I could still go on for a few more moves but the crowd was getting impatient!!
Ok, enough of my bragging! What I wanted to share was the endgame below..
It was my turn at this position. Thinking of a7 which I thought was hard to play for me. So I opted for a6, the easy move to gain access to b1 and possibly use parity as an easy win if black responded a4 or a7. But Makoto is a very parity conscious person. He thought for awhile before playing b2. He said 36-28, he won!

I'm not intending to delve too much into the endgame solving. It looks simple. And it is simple. Guys, try it out!
